Pratheeksha Training Centre was started in 1986 by the Congregation of Sisters of Charity which founded in 1944 by Venerable Fr.Augustine John Ukken.

Pratheeksha Training Centre is functioning under Pratheeksha Charitable Registered in 1986, it is formed with the participation of public

The sisters could start their service in a rented house near Govt. hospital

Irinjalakuda with 25 children.

In 1987 the training centre was shifted to the new building constructed near the Christ college, Irinjalakuda.

Hostel facilities for 100 student has been provided in the training centre.

The decennial of Pratheeksha Training Centre was celebrated on 22nd March 1996

Vocational Training unit was Started on 28th March 2001.

A Physiotherapy unit started on 10th March 2007 help the children to reduce their physical disability through necessary therapy applicable to each child. This is done under the guidance of a physiotherapist who gives training

Annmol Bhavan was built and donated by our benefactor Mr.M.C.Paul

and his family 20th March 2009.This has different training units such as               physiotherapy,  speech therapy, sensory unit.

Sensory Integration was started on 8th December 2023
